There are two ideas that don’t get along in the B2B outbound space:

Both are wrong, for the same reasons, but in opposite directions.

AI alone doesn’t work because B2B outbound isn’t a volume problem — it’s a judgment problem. When an agent decides who to contact, what to say, and how to respond to an unexpected question, someone has to verify that the judgment being applied is sound. A system that operates at scale without supervision turns into mass spam: it doesn’t convert and it burns domains.

Humans alone don’t work either, because the volume needed to find four or five deals a month in a mid-size B2B market is too much for one person to process by hand without losing attention to detail. And attention to detail is exactly what separates a conversation that closes from one that goes cold for no apparent reason.

What does work is the combination: AI agents handling search, qualification, first messages, and follow-up; humans defining strategy, validating nuances, and personally stepping into the conversations that require judgment. Each doing what they do best.
